Please donate below to our Peru Flood Relief Fund!
Perú has been intensely devastated by climate change. Heavy rains from El Niño have caused mudslides and flooding that has left more than 70,000 people homeless and at least 67 dead. Lima, Perú, home to 7.6 million people, is in the middle of a water crisis. Tap water is completely cut off to the city due to the destruction of water infrastructure by these floods and mudslides. All the water in the supermarkets has been bought out and is now being sold on the street at four times the price by greedy people taking advantage of the less fortunate. Some homes are lucky enough to have a tank of reserve water saved up, but most people do not live with this luxury. Destroyed roads and bridges are leading to a lack of stock in supermarkets, causing prices of basic necessities to rise rapidly. Please help get water and flood relief to Perú. Your donation will go to Perú’s Ministry of the Interior, working to get water to the places that need it the most, rebuilding necessary infrastructure that sustains millions of lives and supporting those left homeless. There is much more flooding expected, so please do not hesitate to help in any way that you can, and THANK YOU! Please donate below to the Peru flood relief fund.
