I truly believe from the bottom of my heart that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to donate to something where every penny is going to aid and really saving lives. Our American dollars go so far in Ukraine, and because of who we are donating to, every penny is spent on aid. No CEOs, no international transportation, just food and medicine. This week, many of you supported our amazing volunteer friends in Ukraine in their purchasing and delivering of food, medicine and hygiene supplies to small towns in serious need. Some very cool things to notice in the pictures:
You’ll see Polina Tymoshenko in many of these pictures. She has a huge heart and is volunteering all of her time driving across the country into dangerous areas to deliver this aid for the awesome team that we are supporting. In these photos, she is delivering aid to Merefa, a suburb of Cincinnati’s sister city of Kharkiv.
You’ll also see photos from the city of Yuzhny, where pharmacies are completely empty, so Viktor Nikulenko has volunteered to team up with a local doctor to collect and send prescriptions to Olga Fedchenko, the amazing woman that built the network that we are supporting! Olga and her team purchased and delivered the medicine with our donations, which were then distributed across Yuzhny with the help of children in the community!
Another very notable need that we are helping with right now is getting lice medicine to bomb shelters across the country. Sadly, lice has become a very difficult problem in Ukrainian bomb shelters and we are helping to fix that!
